Hello,
Firstly, I would like to retract my previous statement about writing a series of Tolkien posts. Not because I have suddenly lost interest in Tolkien, but because the posts were supposed to create a book, but I’ve concluded that I might find it easier to just try to write the book. Also, I get worried about sharing full pieces of work online because often publications have ‘work cannot be previously published, including online’ as a submission condition. And I’m getting the impression that appearing in publications is necessary to get anywhere with bigger projects.

This presents me with a dilemma: what am I supposed to blog about?
The answer seems to be: the writing process, anything interesting I happen to do, and anything I don’t intend to put in a book at some point.
In other news, I am currently watching Young Sheldon (prequel to The Big Bang Theory), and I’ve just finished a book about Oxford in the interwar period: Not Far from Brideshead by Daisy Dunn.
